Earth Spirit + Tidehunter

Why this works

Setting up a big teamfight can be easier with this duo. Earth Spirit is great at isolating a priority target with a well-aimed Boulder Smash, kicking them out of position. This often forces the enemy team to collapse in an attempt to save their ally, which can create the perfect clumped-up scenario for a Tidehunter Ravage. Earth Spirit can also add control after the fact, using his silence and stun to lock down anyone who survived the initial ultimate or to stop enemy counter-initiation. The two heroes provide layers of control that can be difficult to play against.

This partnership relies on having cores who can deliver damage. Early on, an Earth Spirit gank can help secure Tidehunter's lane with a simple Roll into Gush. Later, the game is about turning Earth Spirit's picks into multi-hero Ravages. However, both heroes are primarily initiators and don't bring much damage themselves. If their team can't capitalize on the long chain of disables, the advantage fades quickly. It's a solid setup, but the follow-through from other heroes is what actually decides the fight.
