Getting jumped by this combo looks scary, as an Earth Spirit roll or kick can set up a target perfectly for Ursa. The plan is simple: Earth Spirit provides the catch from a distance, and Ursa provides the damage to secure a fast kill with Fury Swipes. In practice, the synergy can be a little clumsy. Earth Spirit excels at repositioning enemies with Boulder Smash, which can accidentally save a target or push them to an awkward spot for Ursa. The control is more about creating chaos than providing the clean, long-duration lockdown that a hero like Ursa really needs to guarantee a kill.

This duo's strength is centered on ganking isolated targets during the mid-game. However, the plan is predictable, and common items like Force Staff or Ghost Scepter can easily counter the initial assault. Once teams start to group for fights, the combo loses some of its power. Ursa often builds his own initiation tools like a Blink Dagger anyway, which can make Earth Spirit's specific contribution feel a bit redundant compared to a support who might offer a more reliable stun or a crucial save for the bear.
