Earthshaker + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Catching a group of heroes in Winter's Curse seems like the perfect setup, but the core mechanics don't quite line up. The primary target of the curse becomes immune to all damage from your team, which means Earthshaker cannot damage them with Echo Slam or his other spells. This forces him to try and hit only the secondary, mind-controlled heroes, making the follow-up much less effective than it appears. It creates a situation where the hero you have the most control over is also the one you cannot focus down.

This subtle conflict means the two heroes can have trouble coordinating during fights. Earthshaker is looking to jump in and unload his full combo on a clumped group, while Winter Wyvern's spells are often better for long-range control and saving allies. A defensive Cold Embrace, while saving Earthshaker from physical damage, can also stop him from landing a crucial follow-up Aftershock stun. They don't actively ruin each other's games, but their kits lack a natural rhythm and can sometimes work at cross-purposes.
