Enigma + Lion

Why this works

Catching multiple heroes in a Black Hole creates an ideal setup for Lion. He can easily land a multi-hero Earth Spike on the clumped-up enemies and follow up with Finger of Death on the priority target. Enigma's Midnight Pulse drains a percentage of health, which makes Lion's burst damage even more effective at securing a quick kill. More importantly, Lion’s Hex is an instant disable, perfect for stopping a single enemy who might try to interrupt Black Hole from a safe distance, giving Enigma the time he needs to complete the channel.

The success of this pairing often comes down to initiation and cooldowns. Both Enigma and Lion typically need a Blink Dagger to be effective, which can create a passive mid-game until they hit their timings. The entire combination relies on Enigma finding a good ultimate, and if he's caught first or the enemy team is spread out, Lion doesn't have much to add. Since both heroes bring long-cooldown spells to the table, a poorly timed fight or a missed Black Hole can leave the team without its main win condition for a long time.
