How Enigma and Wraith King perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Enigma and Wraith King win 56.31% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 17,944 matches.
Facing this pair in a teamfight presents a nightmare of target priority. Committing your team's spells to bring down Wraith King is the obvious first step, but it's exactly what Enigma wants. As your team clumps up to secure the kill, Enigma gets a clean opening for a multi-hero Black Hole. Even if you do manage to kill Wraith King, his Reincarnation provides a massive slow, giving Enigma a second window to catch distracted enemies.
The game plan is simple and effective. Wraith King acts as the unkillable frontline, absorbing attention and cooldowns while Enigma finds the perfect angle. The enemy is forced to either split their focus and fail to kill anyone, or commit to Wraith King and eat a full ultimate. Their main counter-play is trying to find and burst Enigma before the fight even begins, which is difficult when he can position safely behind a durable carry who demands an immediate answer.
