Enigma + Venomancer

Why this works

Landing a perfect Black Hole feels great until the only follow-up is more damage-over-time. Enigma needs allies to unload burst onto the targets he's holding down, securing kills before the channel ends. Venomancer, however, offers almost no upfront damage. His Poison Nova and other abilities simply add another layer of slow drain on top of Black Hole's own, which is often not enough to kill tanky heroes before they can react. Enemies frequently survive the combination with enough health to use their items and turn the fight around once they're free.

This core timing mismatch extends to their broader strategies. Enigma's game plan revolves around finding the ideal moment for a single, fight-ending ultimate, forcing a static engagement to win decisively. Venomancer thrives in the opposite scenario: messy, prolonged skirmishes where he can continuously apply his poisons and kite enemies to death. These conflicting approaches mean the team often feels pulled in two directions, unable to fully commit to either a fast initiation or a slow, attrition-based fight, making it difficult to execute a coherent plan.
