Enigma + Windranger

Why this works

Lining up a Powershot on a Black Hole is less effective than it sounds on paper. The straight line of Windranger's nuke struggles to hit every target caught in Enigma's circular ultimate, which limits its total damage. While Focus Fire can certainly delete one priority hero that's locked down, it doesn't take advantage of the massive area-of-effect control that Black Hole provides. Windranger’s kit is often better at bursting a single target or two, while Enigma is looking for wider, team-wiping follow-up.

These heroes often end up having different ideas about how to win the mid-game. Enigma is almost always looking for a big five-on-five engagement to land a perfect ultimate after farming a Blink Dagger. Windranger, on the other hand, frequently prefers to play for pickoffs, using Shackleshot to find and isolate a key enemy. Their timings and goals don't naturally overlap, meaning they function more like two individuals than a cohesive unit. They don’t actively hinder each other, but they don't offer much direct support either.
