Faceless Void + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Catching an enemy in Chronosphere while Winter Wyvern uses Winter's Curse on their ally seems like an obvious setup. The problem is that Chronosphere freezes the cursed target, so the taunted hero is unable to attack them, wasting both ultimates. There is also potential friction with Wyvern’s other abilities. Using Cold Embrace to save an ally caught in Chronosphere is rarely helpful; they're still stunned and unable to act, and the physical immunity can disrupt Faceless Void if he’s trying to land cleave damage nearby. These core abilities simply don't line up well.

Because their signature spells don't combine, these two heroes often have to play teamfights sequentially rather than together. Faceless Void will seek his own initiation with Time Walk to trap a key target, while Winter Wyvern holds his spells for the counter-initiation or to save a different hero once the Chronosphere ends. This lack of a direct combo can make fights feel disjointed. While both heroes are strong individually and provide a lot of control, they don't amplify each other's plans, creating moments of downtime between their spells that a coordinated enemy team can punish.
