Faceless Void + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Dropping a Death Ward next to a Chronosphere is a classic Dota combo. The sphere holds enemies in place, giving the ward free rein to attack a single target without it running away. If Witch Doctor can land a Maledict on the key target beforehand, all the damage from both Faceless Void and the ward gets amplified, which often turns a potential escape into a guaranteed kill. The setup is straightforward and gives you a clear objective whenever both ultimates are available: find a target, lock them down, and unload everything.

The plan depends entirely on having both of these long-cooldown ultimates ready at the same time. A fight without Chronosphere or Death Ward feels very different, and the opposing team will try to force action when one is unavailable. Their other goal is to immediately find and stun the Witch Doctor to interrupt his channeling, as stopping the Death Ward is the fastest way to shut the combo down. This makes positioning critical for the Witch Doctor, who has to stay safe while still being close enough to contribute.
