Nature's Prophet + Rubick

Why this works

Struggling to find a good spell for Rubick to steal often comes down to a lack of setup, and Nature's Prophet doesn't provide it. His kit is based on mobility and awkward control, not the hard lockdown that allows Rubick to safely get a key Spell Steal. When a fight breaks out, Sprout is rarely enough to hold a priority target. More often, Nature's Prophet is using Teleportation to join late or isn't there at all, leaving Rubick and the rest of the team fighting shorthanded without the frontline presence or initiation they desperately need to create an opening.

This core conflict in strategy defines the game. The Nature's Prophet player is looking for opportunities to split the map and pressure objectives alone, while the Rubick is trying to group with his team to force a favorable five-on-five engagement. The result is a team that's constantly pulled in two different directions. Either Rubick is stuck in losing fights, or Nature's Prophet is forced to join teamfights where his impact is lower than a hero built for that role, making it hard for either hero to execute their ideal game plan.
