Why this works

Getting two Duel victories at once massively accelerates Legion Commander's game. This happens because Grimstroke's Soulbind can copy Duel onto a second target, providing a huge injection of permanent damage that secures map control much earlier than normal. The combo is a game-breaking threat on its own. Beyond that ultimate interaction, Grimstroke's Ink Swell provides a reliable stun and movement speed to help Legion close the distance, while Stroke of Fate's slow can pin a target down for the initial challenge.

The pressure to find this combo dictates the mid-game. The Grimstroke and Legion Commander duo will look to force fights around objectives or smoke into enemy territory as soon as Soulbind is available. The opponent is forced to play separated, constantly worried about two key heroes getting caught. Good positioning and vision are the main counter-play, trying to prevent Grimstroke from landing a good ultimate. Even if they play perfectly, a single mistake can lead to a lost teamfight and a Legion with an insurmountable damage lead.
