Grimstroke + Mars

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together feels like a trap for your own draft. The core combination of Soulbind and Arena of Blood doesn't work as well as it sounds. When Mars uses Spear of Mars on a Soulbound target, only the primary hero is pinned to a wall. The second hero is stunned in place, but they are not pinned and can be saved or repositioned by their team. This mechanical failure undermines the whole idea of the combo, turning a potential double lockdown into a much weaker single-target stun and a brief secondary stun.

In a real game, this forces you to commit two huge teamfight ultimates for a result that could be achieved with less. Mars is often left alone in his arena dealing with one hero while the other is free to cause problems, or Grimstroke is forced into a bad position trying to follow up. The damage types also don't line up well; Mars deals mostly physical damage, while Grimstroke's burst is magical. This lack of focus makes it hard to burst down key targets before the enemy can react, leaving the combo feeling clumsy and inefficient.
