Grimstroke + Monkey King

Why this works

Facing down a Wukong's Command is often a matter of moving out of the circle, but things feel more complicated when Grimstroke is there too. The main idea is to combine their ultimates, but Soulbind doesn't actually copy Monkey King's ultimate. While a Boundless Strike can be duplicated on two Soulbound targets, that's often a secondary concern. The more practical combo is Ink Swell on Monkey King as he channels Primal Spring from the trees, creating a long-range stun initiation. This requires good communication and timing, and if the jump is seen coming, it's easily dodged.

In practice, both heroes are trying to control a teamfight in ways that can be at odds. Monkey King wants to lock a specific area down with his ultimate, forcing a chaotic scramble. Grimstroke, on the other hand, wants enemies to be neatly positioned or kited together to get maximum value from Soulbind and his other spells. The chaos from Wukong's Command often causes targets to split up and run in different directions, which can easily break the Soulbind leash. This leaves both heroes having used major spells without their full, combined impact being felt.
