Grimstroke + Witch Doctor

Why this works

Thinking Soulbind automatically guarantees a double kill from Death Ward is a common trap. While Grimstroke's ultimate can set up a great moment for Witch Doctor, the ward's projectiles don't perfectly bounce between the two tethered heroes. The main benefit is concentrating a lot of potential damage in one area, making it very dangerous for the captured targets. Adding Phantom's Embrace or Maledict onto one of the Soulbound enemies can help secure the kill, but the core interaction relies on that initial positioning and some luck with the bounces.

Executing this combo requires setup. Grimstroke needs to land Soulbind on valuable targets, and Witch Doctor needs a safe spot to channel his ultimate without being instantly interrupted. The enemy team knows this is coming. They will play split to avoid the two-hero Soulbind and will hold their stuns specifically for Witch Doctor's channel. Force Staffs and Glimmer Capes also come out to break the focus. Because the combo relies on two long-cooldown ultimates and can be played around, its impact is noticeable but not overwhelming across the whole game.
