Gyrocopter + Venomancer

Why this works

Playing against this pair often feels more annoying than deadly. The core problem is that both heroes want to do the same thing—blanket an area with damage—but neither provides the hard control needed to make that damage stick. Gyrocopter relies on enemies being grouped up and held in place to get the most out of Flak Cannon. Venomancer offers slows with Venomous Gale and Poison Nova, but no stuns. This means enemies are often able to simply walk out of the kill zone before the combined damage can finish them off.

This weakness defines the game's entire dynamic. Laning might feel strong due to constant poke and slows, but securing kills is a struggle. As the game progresses, the draft often lacks a true initiator. Both Gyrocopter and Venomancer are fragile heroes who want someone else to start the fight for them. Without a durable frontliner to create space or a hero with a big lockdown ultimate, the duo is easily picked apart. The opposing team can often force a bad fight by jumping on whichever hero is out of position, knowing there's no strong counter-initiation to punish them.
