Hoodwink + Lich

Why this works

Facing this lane means constantly dealing with slows from both Frost Blast and Acorn Shot. This steady pressure can make it easy for Hoodwink to land a Bushwhack stun, as opponents struggle to move away from trees. Lich can try to extend the lockdown with Sinister Gaze to set up a Sharpshooter, but the timing is awkward; Gaze doesn't last long enough for a full-power shot. While Lich is channeling, he is also stuck in place and unable to use his other spells, which often makes their kill attempts less effective than they appear on paper.

The early laning can feel strong due to the combined slows and harass, and Lich’s Frost Shield gives a fragile Hoodwink some much-needed durability against aggression. As the game moves into the mid-game, however, their plans often diverge. Hoodwink wants to play from the edges of fights, looking for picks from tree cover, while Lich needs to be closer to his team to provide Frost Shield and find a good Chain Frost. They don't provide a single, big teamfight combo, and their impact together feels inconsistent from one game to the next.
