Huskar + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Drafting these two heroes together forces your team to walk a tightrope. Both Huskar and Phantom Assassin are physical damage cores who want to jump on a single target, which makes the enemy's item choices simple: buy armor. There's very little magical burst or crowd control coming from this pair, so opponents can often survive the initial assault. This core redundancy means you aren't really enabling each other; you're competing for the same role in a teamfight, and hoping the enemy can't handle two physical threats at once.

The success of this pairing hinges entirely on game tempo. Typically, Huskar wants to force the issue and fight constantly from the mid-game, creating space. Phantom Assassin needs to use that space to farm her core items, often leaving Huskar to fight without his primary damage-dealing partner. If Huskar’s early pressure fails to cripple the enemy team, the game becomes incredibly difficult. The enemy lineup can stabilize, build defenses against your predictable damage, and then roll over your team before PA is ready to fight.
