Huskar + Windranger

Why this works

Picking these two cores together often creates a setup problem. Huskar wants to jump a target with Life Break and start running them down, but he provides no hard lockdown. This leaves Windranger on the outside, trying to land a difficult Shackleshot without a clear setup. The slow from Huskar's ultimate is often not enough to guarantee the shackle, meaning her own high-damage ultimate can be wasted or used on a less-than-ideal target. Both heroes want to focus down a single enemy, but they fail to enable each other in that critical first step.

This disconnect plays out in mid-game fights where their plans diverge. Huskar will dive deep, drawing attention and expecting follow-up that Windranger can't safely provide from the back line. The enemy team can often split their focus, kiting Huskar while another hero pressures Windranger out of the fight. Since neither hero offers much to protect the other, they tend to get picked off separately. Success becomes reliant on another teammate providing the control they both need, making the draft less flexible and easier for opponents to exploit.
