Invoker + Lina

Why this works

Stacking two heavy magic burst heroes often feels like a missed opportunity. The idea is to combine a setup spell like Cold Snap or Tornado with Lina's Light Strike Array for an easy kill, but in practice, both heroes want to be the one taking farm and getting solo experience. Invoker and Lina are both greedy cores who need levels to function, and putting them on the same team can starve one of them or create a draft that lacks a true physical damage carry. This forces one hero into an uncomfortable, less effective role, undermining the initial goal of having two powerful mages.

As the game progresses, this one-dimensional approach becomes a liability. While you might secure a few kills early on, the enemy team's strategy becomes simple: buy Pipe of Insight and Black King Bars. Once those items come out, both of your primary damage dealers can be neutralized by the same defensive purchases. This leaves your team with very few options for dealing with tanky targets or pushing high ground later in the game. The lineup can feel powerful for a short window, but it's often too easy for opponents to counter through standard itemization.
