Invoker + Marci

Why this works

Setting up a kill with this pair can feel a little awkward. Marci wants to initiate with Rebound and then use Dispose to throw a target, but the direction and distance of the throw can be unpredictable. This makes it difficult for Invoker to reliably land spells like Sun Strike or Meteor. While Marci can give Sidekick to Invoker, it's often more impactful on a hero who primarily deals physical damage. The core issue is that Marci’s aggressive, close-range repositioning often clashes with the more precise, area-based setups that Invoker relies on for his big combos.

Across the game, this duo needs a lot of coordination to work. A successful gank requires Marci to throw a target directly into Invoker's spells, which is a high-execution play. In larger teamfights, Invoker prefers to stay back and control the battlefield with spells like Deafening Blast or Ice Wall. Marci, on the other hand, will be diving deep with Unleash. They often end up fighting in different zones, unable to directly support each other's biggest strengths without one of them playing uncomfortably out of position.
