Invoker + Outworld Destroyer

Why this works

Setting up an Invoker's Sun Strike with Astral Imprisonment is the obvious idea, but these heroes often step on each other's toes. Both Outworld Destroyer and Invoker are greedy cores who need a lot of farm and experience to hit their timings. On the same team, they compete for the same resources from the start. Since both primarily deal magic damage, it also makes it easier for the enemy to itemize. A single Pipe of Insight or a few BKBs can diminish the impact of two of your most important heroes instead of one.

This resource strain means the game can feel like an uphill battle. One hero usually has to take a less-than-ideal lane, delaying their timings. In teamfights, their spell-stacking requires tight coordination that often fails. A poorly timed Astral can save an enemy from a combo, while a Tornado can pull targets out of Sanity's Eclipse. It's more common for them to get in each other's way, creating a draft that feels slightly less effective than having heroes who fill more distinct roles.
