Invoker + Primal Beast

Why this works

Setting up a Sun Strike and Meteor combo with Pulverize is the most obvious point of coordination. A target held in place by Primal Beast is an easy kill for Invoker, provided he has the spells ready. Beyond that single-target burst, however, their kits can feel disconnected. A well-placed Tornado might lift enemies away from Primal Beast's Trample, and an Ice Wall meant to slow a retreat can be bypassed entirely by an Onslaught charge. They both bring a lot of control to a fight, but their methods of applying it don't always overlap effectively, sometimes working at cross-purposes.

The game plan often revolves around finding those isolated pickoffs with the Pulverize combo. When it works, it can control the map's tempo by removing a key hero before a fight. The weakness shows up in larger, messier teamfights. If Primal Beast dives a backline target and Invoker is positioned elsewhere, or if Pulverize is on cooldown, their combined impact feels much less coordinated. Without that one specific ultimate combo, they are often left fighting as two powerful but separate heroes instead of a cohesive pair.
