Why this works

Facing down a Terrorblade in Metamorphosis is tough, but it's another level of pressure when he's empowered by Alacrity. The raw bonus attack speed and damage from Invoker’s spell can make Terrorblade's ranged form feel completely overwhelming, capable of melting a single target or a tower in seconds. Invoker can also use spells like Cold Snap or Ice Wall to keep enemies from kiting his carry, creating a clear window to secure kills with immense physical output.

The issue often comes down to timing. Invoker is frequently ready to fight and make plays around the map early on, while Terrorblade is a carry who needs a lot of protected farm to get his key items online. This can create a disconnect where the team’s tempo-setter and its main damage dealer aren't on the same page. The success of this duo really depends on the rest of the draft being able to either play slow and protect Terrorblade, or provide enough control for Invoker's setups to guarantee kills.
