Invoker + Visage

Why this works

Combining Invoker's Cold Snap with attacks from Visage and his Familiars can hold a single target in place, giving Visage an easier time landing his own burst damage and stuns. Later, a well-placed Alacrity on Visage speeds up his right-clicks, making him a more effective tower pusher and a bigger physical threat in fights. This provides a fairly straightforward way to enable Visage's single-target damage, but it requires both heroes to commit to the same target at the same time.

Their game plan usually comes together in the mid-game. Invoker and Visage can group up to pressure objectives, using their combined lockdown and burst to secure kills and take towers. However, the combo is less effective against teams that group up early, as Visage struggles to isolate and burst down heroes who are being supported by their allies. Success often depends on Invoker landing a good setup spell to create an opening, or on the enemy team making a positioning mistake that leaves one of their heroes vulnerable.
