Jakiro + Tusk

Why this works

Thinking about a Snowball into Ice Path combo seems strong, but the spell timings are just too awkward. Tusk's stun from Snowball is very brief, and it often expires before Jakiro's delayed Ice Path can actually connect on the target. This gives the enemy a window to move or use a defensive item. Furthermore, Tusk’s Ice Shards can be a problem, physically blocking Jakiro’s path or even trapping allies. Tusk wants to isolate and burst down a single hero, while Jakiro wants to hit multiple enemies with his damage-over-time and control spells.

This disconnect shows up all over the map. During ganks, Tusk can initiate from a long way off, but the slow-moving Jakiro rarely arrives in time to contribute his full spell rotation. In teamfights, Tusk dives deep to find a kill, while Jakiro positions far in the back to cast Macropyre and Dual Breath. This effectively splits your team's damage and focus. The enemy team can often burst down the isolated Tusk and then comfortably walk past Jakiro's ground-based spells, leaving him exposed. The pair simply lacks a unified game plan.
