Why this works

Fighting into this duo often feels like a race against the clock. Both Juggernaut and Kez are self-sufficient melee carries who demand a lot of farm to hit their timings. They don't offer much control or setup for one another; Kez is a duelist focused on his own fight, and Juggernaut's Omnislash usually needs someone else to provide a lockdown. While Healing Ward is always a welcome buff for any physical attacker, the core issue is that both heroes want to occupy the same space on the map and fulfill a very similar role on the team.

This pairing puts a lot of strain on the rest of the draft to provide magic damage and initiation. If the lanes go poorly, the team is left with two under-farmed melee heroes who can't contribute effectively. But if this Juggernaut and Kez lineup secures an early lead, the game can spiral out of control for the opposition. Enemies are forced to split their attention and resources between two very dangerous physical threats, creating openings that either hero can exploit. The outcome often depends less on their direct synergy and more on which team dictates the pace.
