Juggernaut + Clockwerk

Why this works

Setting up a kill with this duo is a very direct affair. Clockwerk's Hookshot and Power Cogs are a classic way to trap a single enemy hero in a small space, creating a perfect, stationary target for Juggernaut's Blade Fury. This guarantees a huge amount of damage without the enemy being able to run away. The lockdown is also an easy setup for a full-duration Omnislash on an isolated hero. If Clockwerk can consistently find a key opponent, Juggernaut has a clear path to snowball through the mid-game by converting those initiations into kills.

The main issue is that this strategy is almost entirely focused on a single target. If the enemy team has multiple ways to save their caught ally, like a Force Staff or a defensive spell, the whole play falls apart, leaving both Clockwerk and Juggernaut out of position. As the game goes on, opponents will often start to group up, making it much harder for Clockwerk to find a clean initiation on a valuable hero. This forces Juggernaut to find his own openings, which can be less reliable than the planned setup.
