Kez + Lina

Why this works

Setting up for a kill often feels disjointed with this pair. Kez is a melee duelist who excels when he can stick to a single target, but he needs help getting there. Lina’s main tool for that, Light Strike Array, has a significant delay and is notoriously unreliable without another disable to set it up. This forces Kez to find his own way into the fight, often leaving him disconnected from Lina, who wants to stay far in the back. Their ideal positions clash; Kez wants to be in the thick of it using his defensive stance, while Lina needs space to cast her spells safely.

This lack of coordination means they struggle to create pressure in the lanes and have a difficult time organizing ganks in the mid-game. The burden falls entirely on Lina to land a perfect stun from long range to initiate a fight, which is a big ask. If she can't, the pair often ends up farming separately and ceding map control. Enemy teams can exploit this by forcing fights and splitting them apart, bursting the fragile Lina first before collapsing on the now-isolated Kez, who lacks the tools to disengage on his own.
