How Kez and Io perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Kez and Io win 47.01% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 9,626 matches.
Committing to an Io pick usually means you're looking for a specific kind of carry to enable. While Kez is a melee agility hero, his kit doesn't always benefit from what Io provides. The dueling style of Kez often relies on precise spacing and timing his counters, but being tethered can make it awkward to position perfectly or disengage after a quick strike. Io wants to turn a partner into a relentless, unkillable force, yet Kez's gameplay is more about finding the right moment to outplay a specific opponent. The raw power from Overcharge can certainly win some fights, but the conflicting game plans often lead to clumsy engagements where neither hero gets to execute their role properly.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
