Kunkka + Sniper

Why this works

Running both of these heroes as cores can put a strain on the map's resources. Kunkka and Sniper often want to occupy the same safe farming spaces, which can slow down the item progression for one or both of them. The main source of synergy comes from Kunkka’s X Marks the Spot, which provides a perfect setup for Sniper to land Assassinate from a safe distance. This creates a reliable tool for picking off a single, isolated enemy hero anywhere on the map. The combo is straightforward but doesn't offer much beyond that initial burst.

This pickoff potential is strongest in the mid-game, allowing the team to secure kills and create space. However, the plan can fall apart in larger five-on-five teamfights. Kunkka wants to crash into the enemy team with Ghostship and land his area-of-effect stuns, but Sniper is forced to stay far behind the fight, hitting whichever target he can. They don't enable each other well once a full-scale brawl begins, as their positioning and goals are fundamentally at odds. The strength of their ganking combo is balanced out by their awkwardness in late-game teamfights.
