Why this works

Controlling the map often feels tougher with both Largo and Rubick on the same team. The two heroes can have similar needs for experience and gold to reach their key timings, which can lead to competition for safe farm. Instead of one well-equipped support and one sacrificial one, you sometimes end up with two that are halfway to being effective. This can delay the crucial items needed to win mid-game teamfights, leaving your cores more vulnerable during a period where they expect support help to be at its strongest.

This dynamic forces a choice. Either one hero accepts a poorer role, hampering their own impact, or the team plays a riskier, greedier game, hoping to find enough space for everyone. Enemies will often try to punish this by grouping up and forcing objectives before Largo and Rubick are fully online. The game then hinges on whether the pair can find a way to make something happen with limited resources, or if the opponent's pressure simply overwhelms them before they get a chance to scale into the late game.
