Leshrac + Lifestealer

Why this works

Running at the enemy with two aggressive cores can seem like a recipe for getting kited, but this pairing has the tools to make it work. Lifestealer's Open Wounds provides a massive slow, forcing targets to sit and take the full brunt of Leshrac’s Pulse Nova and Lightning Storm. Leshrac can also land a Split Earth stun to help Lifestealer close the gap initially. Once Lifestealer uses Rage, he becomes immune to magic, which means enemies can't use spells to peel him off his target. This frees Leshrac up to focus entirely on positioning for maximum AoE damage instead of worrying about saving his carry from stuns.

The game plan is simple from the start: find a target and run them over. A successful gank easily translates into a fast tower push with Leshrac's Edict. A classic move is for Lifestealer to Infest Leshrac, who then walks into position for a surprise initiation. The enemy team’s best bet is to separate them. They’ll try to burst the fragile Leshrac before he can get his spells off, or use items like Force Staff to kite Lifestealer once his Rage ends. The success of the duo often comes down to who they pick as their first target.
