Lich + Lina

Why this works

Holding an enemy in place with Sinister Gaze gives Lina a free setup for her Light Strike Array stun. This simple but effective lockdown is usually enough to let her land a full combo and secure a kill with Laguna Blade, especially during the mid-game. Lich also provides slows with Frost Blast, which can help Lina land that initial stun even without the Gaze. On top of that, placing a Frost Shield on Lina is a solid defensive bonus, as she's a fragile hero who often needs to get close to cast her spells. The protection and the slow on attackers can be surprisingly helpful when she's getting focused.

This pairing is strongest when looking for pickoffs on isolated heroes. They can effectively roam the map and delete a target, creating space and advantage through single kills. In larger, five-on-five teamfights, however, their kits don't always align as well. Lina is focused on bursting a single target, while Lich's Chain Frost is bouncing around trying to hit multiple enemies. While not a bad combination by any means, it lacks a single, fight-winning ultimate synergy, making it a reliable but not an overwhelmingly powerful partnership.
