Lich + Marci

Why this works

Gaining early map control becomes a lot more straightforward with this pair. Marci can secure kills that she might otherwise miss, which accelerates her item timings and lets the whole team play more aggressively. The reason it works so well is that Lich provides all the sticking power a hero like Marci could want. After she jumps in with Rebound, targets are layered with slows from Frost Blast and Frost Shield, making it incredibly difficult to get away. Sinister Gaze offers another layer of lockdown to hold someone in place for Marci's stun or to guarantee a kill on a priority target.

This threat forces opponents to play spread out and defensively. Grouping up to take a tower is a huge risk because it creates the perfect setup for Chain Frost, especially if Marci can Dispose one hero back into their teammates. The main counterplay is to split-push and try to burst Lich down before he can cast his defensive spells or ultimate. For the Lich and Marci side, the game plan is simple: keep forcing fights around objectives where the enemy has to be close together, like Roshan or high-ground sieges, to get the most value out of the combo.
