How Lich and Phantom Assassin perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Lich and Phantom Assassin win 54.44% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 66,607 matches.
Casting Frost Shield on Phantom Assassin right before she uses Phantom Strike is the key interaction here. The target she jumps can't fight back effectively because the shield’s debuff slows their attacks, letting her win duels she otherwise couldn't and giving her a safer window to find a crit. This simple defensive buff enables a much more aggressive playstyle for her. Beyond that, Lich provides layers of slows with Frost Blast and his ultimate that keep enemies from escaping. A well-timed Sinister Gaze can lock down a hero for Phantom Assassin to delete, giving your team an easy way to start a fight.
