Lich + Puck

Why this works

Picking these two together looks like a plan for massive teamfight control, but their abilities can work at cross-purposes. Puck wants enemies to move and break Dream Coil for the stun, but all of Lich’s spells encourage targets to stand still. An enemy slowed by Frost Blast or Chain Frost is often happy to wait inside the leash area instead of triggering the stun. Lich also lacks an instant lockdown to set up for Puck’s aggressive initiations; Sinister Gaze is a channeled spell that's often too slow and stationary for a fast-moving hero like Puck to play around.

Throughout the game, their positioning rarely aligns. Puck dives deep into the enemy formation to find kills, while Lich prefers staying on the outskirts to protect allies with Frost Shield. While a good Chain Frost inside a Dream Coil can happen, it’s an unreliable setup that depends entirely on how the enemy team reacts. They end up playing their own separate games more often than not. They don't actively enable each other so much as they simply coexist on the same side of the map, doing their own thing.
