Lich + Riki

Why this works

Putting constant pressure on the map gets a lot easier with this pair. Lich provides everything Riki needs to guarantee a kill when he finds a target. A single Sinister Gaze is enough to hold an enemy in place for Riki to drop Smoke Screen, silencing them and preventing retaliation. Frost Shield on Riki then makes him much harder to bring down, as anyone trying to fight back gets slowed. This sequence is simple, effective, and available often, allowing the duo to hunt for pickoffs from the early minutes of the game.

This consistent kill threat forces opponents to play defensively and spend a lot of gold on detection. If they split up to farm, Riki and Lich will find them. If they group up, your team gains control of the rest of the map. The enemy's main goal becomes catching Lich before he can cast his spells, or having instant lockdown for Riki the moment he reveals himself. As long as Lich positions carefully behind Riki, they can systematically take over the game by turning successful ganks into towers and other objectives.
