Lich + Weaver

Why this works

Thinking that Lich’s slows will set up easy kills for Weaver is a common trap. While a Frost Blast makes it easier for Weaver to land a few attacks, the lane lacks any hard stun to actually secure the kill. The enemy can often simply use a mobility spell or teleport out before Weaver can finish the job. Lich’s Frost Shield adds some nice trading potential and another slow, but it doesn’t provide the lockdown Weaver needs to freely attack. The lane can apply pressure, but it struggles to convert that pressure into real advantages against opponents who play cautiously.

This disconnect continues into teamfights. Lich’s main goal is to find a perfect Chain Frost on clumped-up enemies, but Weaver does nothing to enable this. Weaver’s whole kit is about mobility and staying on the edges of a fight, using Shukuchi to find and burst isolated targets. He doesn't group enemies up or hold them in place. Likewise, Weaver is so self-sufficient defensively with Time Lapse that Lich’s protection feels redundant. Each hero is effective on their own, but their core plans for winning a fight don't overlap.
