How Lifestealer and Morphling perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Lifestealer and Morphling win 45.76% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 6,477 matches.
Thinking of Morphling as a high-health Infest bomb is a common mistake. In practice, these heroes step on each other's toes all game. Both Lifestealer and Morphling are farm-intensive carries who want to occupy the same safe parts of the map, slowing down both of their item progressions. Morphling is also a poor host for Infest; he wants to stay on the edge of fights dealing damage, not serve as a delivery vehicle. If he’s forced to shift into high strength to survive getting jumped on, his own damage output plummets, making the whole plan fall apart. Lifestealer needs a durable initiator, not a second carry.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
