Lifestealer + Necrophos

Why this works

Trying to burst down a target can feel a lot harder when Lifestealer is around to support them. Necrophos is a prime example, as he's often focused first in a fight. Lifestealer can use Infest to hide inside Necrophos, making him seem like an easy kill until a second, full-health hero emerges. This turns the tables on anyone who commits their spells, leaving them facing two durable heroes instead of one. With Heartstopper Aura constantly draining enemies, the sudden appearance of Lifestealer is often enough to swing a skirmish by adding a slow and heavy physical damage.

This pairing works best when they can force a brawl in the mid-game. Necrophos can walk forward confidently with Lifestealer inside, knowing he has an escape or a counter-initiation ready. Once Lifestealer pops out, their combined damage and sustain can grind down most opponents, setting up easy kills for Reaper's Scythe. The advantage is only slight because both heroes can be kited or controlled from a distance. Teams with good disengage or long-range burst can often split the pair up or pick off Necrophos before Lifestealer can react, preventing them from creating the prolonged, close-quarters fight they need to win.
