Lina + Medusa

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Light Strike Array is a decent way for Medusa to land a good Mystic Snake and apply pressure in lane. In larger fights, a well-placed Stone Gaze can also hold targets still for Lina's full magic burst combo with Laguna Blade. The problem is that beyond this simple stun-and-nuke interaction, their game plans often conflict. Both heroes demand a significant amount of farm to be effective, and Lina's mid-game power spike doesn't always align with Medusa's need to farm for much longer before she can confidently join fights.

This tension over resources often defines how the game plays out. If both Lina and Medusa are played as cores, they compete for safe farm across the map, potentially slowing down both of their item timings. If Lina is played as a support, she offers some offensive pressure but lacks the defensive saves or team-wide buffs that typically help a hero like Medusa survive the mid-game. The draft ends up with two damage-heavy heroes who don't directly enable each other, creating a high-risk composition that needs to secure a massive farm lead to overwhelm opponents.
