Lion + Timbersaw

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together often creates a team with a confused game plan. Lion provides excellent single-target lockdown and burst with Hex and Finger of Death, aiming to eliminate one enemy instantly. Timbersaw, on the other hand, excels in drawn-out fights, zipping around with Timber Chain and wearing down opponents with repeated spells. Lion’s entire combo to delete a support is over in seconds, which is often not enough time for Timbersaw to get into position and contribute effectively. Their core timings and damage patterns simply don't align.

This mismatch becomes more obvious as the game progresses. In a gank, Lion’s stuns will hold a target in place, but Timbersaw’s follow-up isn't the immediate burst that capitalizes on it. In larger teamfights, the heroes seem to want different things. Lion looks for an angle to pick off a backliner, while Timbersaw wants to dive the enemy frontline and create chaos. This leaves your team without a focused objective, making it easy for the enemy to separate and handle each threat individually instead of dealing with a coordinated assault.
