Lion + Tinker

Why this works

Facing down this duo often feels manageable, as both heroes are fragile and struggle to create early pressure on their own. While they can chain some magic damage together for a kill attempt, a single defensive stun or save is often enough to completely turn the fight. Tinker provides no additional lockdown to follow up on Lion's initiation, leaving the pair extremely vulnerable to any coordinated aggression or counter-gank. They simply lack the tools to reliably control a lane.

As the game progresses, their problems compound into one of shared resources and redundant roles. Tinker needs to constantly be farming distant lanes with Boots of Travel, while a support Lion wants to be moving with his team to set up ganks. They rarely operate in the same area and fail to create space for one another. This forces their team to play split apart, making them easy to isolate. Eventually, enemy cores acquire Black King Bars, which neuters the magical burst from both Lion and Tinker and exposes their lack of sustained damage.
