Luna + Mirana

Why this works

Setting up a kill with Sacred Arrow looks like a perfect opener for Luna’s Eclipse. The problem is that Eclipse needs an isolated target to deal its full damage. If Mirana lands her arrow on a hero standing near their teammates or a creep wave, the ultimate's beams will scatter and lose most of their impact. While a long-duration stun is always helpful, it doesn't guarantee the specific setup Luna needs to delete a single high-value target. Moonlight Shadow can offer a good escape or initiation, but it's a generic tool that helps any carry, not Luna in particular.

Across the game, the success of this pair depends heavily on how the rest of the team plays. In the mid-game, Luna wants to be with her team, using Moon Glaives to push down towers. Mirana, however, might be off on her own looking for pickoffs. When they do connect, it’s usually because the game is already going well and they can force enemies into the open. The combo isn't strong enough on its own to create those opportunities; it capitalizes on them. This makes their partnership feel inconsistent from one match to the next.
