Luna + Phantom Assassin

Why this works

Picking two farm-dependent physical carries like Luna and Phantom Assassin puts a lot of pressure on your other roles to provide control and magic damage. While Luna's Lunar Blessing gives a straightforward damage boost to Phantom Assassin, their kits don't offer much else for each other. They provide no lockdown or setup, and their fighting styles can be at odds. Phantom Assassin excels at deleting a single, isolated hero, whereas Luna's Moon Glaives and Eclipse are at their best when enemies are grouped together.

This core pairing often leaves the map feeling starved for farm, as both heroes have similar item timings and want to occupy the safest jungle areas. The enemy team also gets a very clear itemization plan; stacking armor and evasion counters both heroes' damage output effectively. For this duo to work, the rest of your team has to enable them perfectly with space and lockdown. Otherwise, you're counting on one core getting so far ahead that the enemy's counters don't matter, which isn't a reliable plan.
