Luna + Phoenix

Why this works

Drafting Phoenix alongside a Luna often hinges on one massive teamfight spell. The core idea is that Phoenix dives in with Supernova, forcing the enemy team to stand still and attack the egg. This can create a perfect, stationary target for Luna’s Eclipse, letting her melt multiple heroes who are clumped together and occupied. The damage types don't directly amplify each other, but the massive stun from a successful Supernova can be enough to let Luna clean up an entire fight by herself.

However, this combination is far from guaranteed. If the enemy team has enough damage to destroy the Supernova egg quickly, Phoenix dies and Luna is left dangerously exposed without a front line. Luna is a fragile hero who wants to hit from a distance, while Phoenix's game plan involves diving deep into the enemy ranks. This positional clash means Phoenix offers little direct protection if an enemy gets on top of Luna. The duo’s success often comes down to a single, pivotal ultimate usage rather than consistent pressure, making their performance together very situational.
