How Luna and Shadow Demon perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Luna and Shadow Demon win 48.25% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 12,049 matches.
Saving Luna with a defensive Disruption often works against your own game plan. It pulls your main damage dealer completely out of the fight, stopping all damage from her Moon Glaives when you need it most. This duo tends to feel disjointed because their fight preferences clash. Shadow Demon excels at isolating a single enemy and controlling them with spells like Demonic Purge, setting up a pickoff. Luna, however, wants to hit a grouped-up team and needs allies who can help her stay in the fight and keep attacking. Taking her out of the action, even to save her, frequently costs you the teamfight momentum she works to create.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
