Luna + Silencer

Why this works

Pairing Global Silence with Eclipse seems like it should be an automatic teamfight win, but it's often not that clean. For Luna's ultimate to hit hard, enemies need to be grouped up and isolated. Silencer's ultimate prevents spell-based escapes, but it doesn't stop them from simply walking away or using items like Force Staff or Ghost Scepter to survive. If Luna gets stunned or bursted before her Black King Bar is up, the whole plan falls apart. The combo requires a lot of setup for a result that can be inconsistent against prepared opponents.

Throughout the game, the success of Luna and Silencer depends on catching heroes out of position. They rely on their big ultimates syncing up perfectly, while the enemy team's goal is to play spread out and force fights when one of the two ultimates is on cooldown. Because the win condition is so telegraphed, opponents can often anticipate the Global Silence and position themselves to minimize the impact of Luna's follow-up. It creates a back-and-forth where either side can get the jump, making the outcome feel very dependent on who executes better in the moment.
