Why this works

Farming against a lane backed by a global heal can be a nuisance. Treant Protector's Living Armor can give Luna some extra durability to shrug off harassment and secure farm, which she appreciates as a core who wants to stay on the map. The more direct synergy comes from Overgrowth, which provides a long-duration root to hold enemies in place for Luna's Eclipse. This gives the pair a potential teamfight-winning combination, locking down key targets so they can't escape the incoming beams.

In practice, the success of this duo often hinges on timing. Both Overgrowth and Eclipse have long cooldowns, and the heroes need to be positioned together to execute the combo. Treant Protector is often focused on map control and scouting while Luna maximizes her farm, so they aren't always in the same place at the right moment. While the global armor is always helpful, it doesn't fundamentally alter how opponents play against Luna.
