How Lycan and Spirit Breaker perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Lycan and Spirit Breaker win 52.17% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 8,825 matches.
Forcing fights across the map becomes the core game plan with this duo. Spirit Breaker can initiate on an isolated target from anywhere using Charge of Darkness, providing vision and the initial lockdown. Lycan is one of the few heroes who can reliably keep pace, especially during Shapeshift, and follow up with his own damage and his wolves to finish the kill. This can create a lot of pressure and open up the map. The problem is that their plan is very direct. If the enemy team starts grouping early or has good defensive saves, both heroes can be left overextended. Their individual objectives can also conflict, with Lycan wanting to pressure buildings while Spirit Breaker hunts for kills.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
